Gorbachevs supporters praised his youth energy and political skills. The soviet welcomed him in the election. at 54 he was the youngest soviet leader since stalin. one of his policys he announced was glasnost. He encouraged soviet citizens ways to improve their society. the government let churches open cause of this policy. reporters looked for ways to criticize the government officials. The other soviet leaders from before brang totilaratism. He can also pursue new ideas.

The reason for the collapse of the berlin wall was people can leave countrys without exit visas and caused a migration to east germany. Countrys formed a union against communism called the warsaw pact. Which denied communism into countrys. Communist partys still stayed political. traditional communist partys with dictators china cuba north korea etc. Also chinese partys crushed their schools. The United States was able to profit from its imperialist exploitation of other countries while socialism could only lose economically in that competition.

apartheid is a social policy or racial segregation involving political and economic and legal discrimination against people who are not Whites. he fought for unity and liberation for his country. Instead of him bowing down to the government he fought for the freedom of south africa. He led freedom to africa. mandala had self sacrafice.everyone in south africa were egual in living comftorable and the community. He was in the anc. later on his anc was cut short cause he was sent to life in prison. After 27years of being in prison he was finally freed.After 5 years of his release he won a nobel peace prize and elected president of south Africa.

In 20 years they tried to boost up the economy of africa and make it like USA. Nkrumah helped develop the Pan-African
Congrevicss held in Manchester England not just their own Coast in 1947. Nkrumah became Ghana’s first prime minister and later its like vice president.nkrumah was criticized for spending to much time on his country with economic problems.In 1966 while Nkrumah was in China the army and police imnuGhana seized power. The country has shifted back and forth between civilian and military rule and has struggled for economic stability.Belgium also granted independence in 1960 to the congos. He spent too much on the economy and the opposition.

Competitions where with first man of moon and first person to have a satellite in space. They wanted to see who can get into the moon. The russians in this competition where winning just because they started to get everything first. they were able to get someone to the moon then the u.s. The Russians only won for the first man in space because america held back for two weeks cause they weren't sure if they wanted to send the monkey or a Man to space. In this film the most that hit me and made me rember was the scene when they titled to russia and the russian pod went up to space with the guy. Also when America find's out that russia had a man on space they were devistated. That's one of the thing's i wouldn't forget. Also russians set up the first satellite in space. Something else they competed was they wanted to see who can brake the sound barrier first. American's had the first guys on the moon.

NATO and the Warsaw Pact

Nato is organization that is involved with Europe and North America. The reason the Nato was made was to make a Defensive alliance.Incase a country was attacked the other countries Involved with Nato would come to their aide.The warsong pact was refered as another mutual defense. These programs were made by nikita Khrushchev and Nikolay Bulganin. This was also the breakdown of the nuclear Treaty. Also the other reason why this was created was our leaders were threatened on soviet's making eastern Europe communist. Communist governments in Eastern Europe were increasing territorial demands and their support for Guerrilla warfare in Greece.Nato began a new program in 1979 which help build up Defense as well as new efforts to stopping the Soviet Union from building up their Nuclear weapons.This is why Warson pact came to act to make sure we wouldn't use nuclear weapons on each other.

In my perspective i think this documentary will most likely stay on my mind cause of the brutal scenes that took place in germany. Images that will most likely stay in my mind will probably be when they where in the concentration camps and how they had no remourse for the jews when they shot them point blank in the face and would disgrace them by making them take off there clothes.
ITs even more crazy on how they just came in the night to find any jews that were hiding and would kill them then would search for more jews. something else that blew my mind was when the nazis went and took the kids of the jews that were in concentration camps and would most likely end up killing them since they couldn't work and also because they didnt want the population of jews to increase. something else that was crazy was when the little boy was shot with a shotgun by a nazi soldier. It
just shows how much respect and how much they really cared. something else that got me was when the lady in the concentration camp said that germany needs them to manafacture and produce weapons and etc for the war. Meanwhile they didn't know that the worst was coming to them rapidly.

Night and Fog

It was very touching on how this documentary showed brutal and things that i've never thought about the holocaust had happened. In the documentary i think that the hollywood version was more brutal and showed more action and something that shouldnt be shown to the public.
It's upsetting on how the hollywood version showed more graphical and also more killing scenes that i would not think is apropriate for something like this to happen is like the bombing on japan it's just cadastrofical. the reason hollywood version was more brutal was because it showed more killing and was more specific on the deaths of the jews and how the germans were really treating them during world war 2 in the concentration camps.

treaty of versailles

The treaty of versailles was when theyre was a battle law that which means when the war is over the loser of the war must pay all debt that was used in the war. In the war between Germany and france france won and germany had to pay off the money that france needed when they lost guns,ammunition,buldings and also many lifes.in my opinion i really dont think its such a fair thing to do. I would undertstand if they had to pay off at least half the death a eqularity of 50% of the money that was used in the war. but that is outrageous to make the country that has to pay all costs on damage even though they were the agressive.
The reason why historians have the prediciton that the treaty of versailles led to adolph hitler and facism is because germany became in a depressed state which meant they couldnt pay off the debt that they needed to even after borrowing money off the United States. germany needed a leader in those days which can make them rise up which soon to become adolph hitler. adolph hitler was mad at the point of how they didnt have the money to pay off france and that it wasnt such a right thing to do. hitler wanted to start a strong army which can help Germany rise. He only wanted whites with blue eyes no disabilitys,no jews,slaves,and indians.Hitler started the holocause against jews killing jews all around germany destroying there stores and wiping them out. He started to take jews and put them in concentrating camps which he give them chemicals and they would die without even knowing what it was. they would also make the jews dig their grave then shoot them and then if they survived let them be buried alive.Hitler would also have a boyscouts that were taught the nazi slogan. It was called hitlers youth where the teens where taught nazi slogan and the power to fulfill germanys destiny as world power.

secular is when there are regions that are non relegious. mustafa is a founder of the turkish republic. Things that mustafa said where that he wanted people to stop believeing in their beliefs and stop wearing the fez. he wanted them to grow up into a modernized country as the eurpeans were. they also wanted them to start to wear clothes that wear modern instead of wearing bagged pajamas. the fez they used was a old thing mustafa wanted them to stop wearing the old hat and wear start to wear a brimed hat which was kind of more modernized.He put an end to the antiquated Ottoman dynasty whose tale had lastedmore than six centuries and created the Republic of Turkey in 1923.
He created a secular which can let christians and jews believe their own faith.Women,rich,poor were all equal before the law.
he led his forces to victory against rebels and invading armies.religous laws were abolished and the secular system was then introduced. mustafa also introduced the sweeping reforms political,social,legal,economic,and cultural spheres in other countrys.

what Ghandi did for India was to give them a mind into peace and also to change how the Indias would revolt to the British with fighting. he showed them that they didnt need to fight in order to get what they needed. He brang together the 2 Indias. also he was upset how the indians would make the clothing and gave them to the British to make the Indias buy the clothing that they had made.

Ghandi was a independent guy he was a Man of the World he was a respect to all indians in india. Ghandi went through beatings and conflicts that would be a result in battle to others but not for him. he was able to get the muslims and hindus to get together and try to make there county independent from the British Empire. Ghandi made the Indians boycott and make there own clothing from British empire.

Ghandi walked 240miles and got together and made india stronger. when he did this he was 60yrs old. Ghandi was later on invited to a conference in england that can be a leading to the independence of india. Once he went to this meeting he was able to make the independence to india possible therefore getting them into a seperate country from British Empire. even though Ghandi wanted to make muslims and hindus get together it couldn't be possible cause the just wouldnt get alone. After the independence of india Ghandi Gee was assassintated by a group that was against Ghandis beliefs. Ghandi will always be known the man of the world and the peace maker that changed india and the independence of it now.
